When you and your significant other are tired of just sitting around and doing the same thing, there are a plenty of ways to spice up date night. One great way to do so is by doing something active, and Stafford provides numerous options for couples who want to get up and go out!

Bowling

Near Stafford are the AMF Fredericksburg Lanes. This is a classic bowling alley that will offer you and your date a great time. On Friday and Saturdays, it’s open until midnight, too, so it’s perfect for late-night recreation. Try out one of AMF’s 50 lanes and after you and your date bowl a game stop by the bar to have drink and relax!

Fishing

One great place to go fishing around Stafford is the Abel Reservoir. This is the most scenic park and lake around the area. There is a stocked fishing area where you and your date can enjoy a beautiful scene and bond over the outstanding scenery. Abel Reservoir does require a fishing license, but visitors can fish until the sun goes down, making it a perfect evening activity.

Mini Golf

Bring your A game to the putt putt golf course. In Fredericksburg, there is the Central Park Funland. The golf course is bound to be a good time when you try to see who has the skills to win at this course.

Amusement Park

Along with mini golf, the Central Park Funland has a number of activities that you can enjoy. This is an indoor/outdoor park so it is a great place to go visit, even when the weather isn’t cooperating.  There are rides, arcade games, and attractions that are bound to entertain. Some of the rides include bumper cars, a mini roller coaster, tilt-a-whirl, Go Karts, and spinning tea cups. There is even a rock climbing wall and laser tag! All of these rides and activities are sure to make any date night more fun!

Exploring Around Town

Sometimes what makes a great date is walking around together, exploring, and finding new things. One way to do that is at the Belmont-Ferry Farm Trail. This is a two-mile hike through three parks. While taking this walk there a number of places to stop and explore. There is the pretty view of the Rappahannock River and you can visit the Chatham Manor, Moncure Conway House, and the Chatham Bridge.
