\n\t\t <\/li>\n - \n\t\t11th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta<\/p>\n
\t\tIf you are any type of engineer, physicist, builder, or just someone looking to have a good time, make sure you attend this event. At the 11th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta contest, people can register to make a boat out of cardboard, tape, glue, and paint that will be able to hold two passengers. At first, boats will be judged simply on design. After that, there will be boat races! The fastest and sturdiest boat will obviously be the winner. Admission to watch is free, and the event this year is held on July 18 at Aquia Landing. This is a great way to gather some family for a little healthy competition.

\t\tThe BackYard games will be held at Curtis Memorial Park this year. Grab a partner and participate in six different events. There will be cornole, horseshoes, wiffleball, bocce, ladder golf, and Kan Jam! Registration fee is twenty dollars for a two person team that must be ages sixteen and up. Compete in the friendly games against friends, family, or complete strangers! The BackYard Games are a great way to make new friends that share a common interest with you…competition.

\t\tIf you are more of a sports person and just so happen to be more than slightly competitive, you should check out the Adult Softball Homerun Derby. For ages eighteen and up at the Duff McDuff Green Park, people can come and show off their mad strength and hand-eye coordination in this healthy competition. There are two rounds to this Derby. In the first round, each batter hits until they have accumulated a total of five outs. The runs are tallied up, and the highest hitters advance to round two where they will again be allotted five outs. The highest number of homeruns wins! Come to the Homerun Derby to show your skills and be the champion.

\t\tNothing brings people together like dancing. At the See You In September-Dance, all types of music will be played. Rock & Roll, shag, line dancing, slow dancing, the waltz, and even the swing will all be played throughout the night. Grab your friends and have a night of fun with DJ Willie T! This is a great way to socialize with old friends, while making new friends as well.
