Spontaneous plans can make for a fun and exciting night, but so too can a carefully planned evening. Dinner reservations, theatre tickets and concert tickets all typically require a few days or weeks in advance of planning. Tickets for popular places sell out sooner rather than later, so it’s best to purchase or book early on. If you’re located in the Stafford, VA area, we’ve made a list of 4 upcoming concerts this June that you won’t want to miss out on! Get your tickets now!

  1. John Mellencamp: Friday, June 12 at 7:30PM at the Lyric Opera House. Johnny Cougar Mellencamp has been a well-known act since 1979, and continues to sell out large arenas. His first hit, “I Need A Lover” came out in 1979, followed by his number top two hit,, “Hurts So Good,” and “Jack & Diane.” At age 63, he’s still rockin’!

  2. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes: Tuesday, June 16 at 7PM at Echostage. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes are certainly a change of pace from John Mellencamp, but surely will not disappoint. The band formed in LA in 2007, and consists of a lineup of 12 people. Their number one hit is the popular song, “Home.” Grab your tickets for this event, it will be a good time for the whole crew!

  3. Train with The Fray and Matt Nathanson: Sunday, June 14 at 7PM at Susquehanna Bank Center. What a trio! From Train, a band with top hits like “Drops of Jupiter,” “Hey, Soul Sister” and “Drive By” they’re reason enough to head out on a Sunday night. Combine that group with The Fray, who is notorious for their hit “Over My Head,” amongst many others and you’ve got a fun, but relaxing evening. To add to the appeal, Matt Nathanson will be headlining. His top song, “Come On Get Higher,” will have the whole crowd smiling. This is a concert you will regret missing.

  4. Jimmy Buffett @ Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA: Saturday, June 20 at 8PM. Although Bristow is a 45 minute drive, who could pass up a Jimmy Buffett concert? Whether it’s “Cheeseburger in Paradise” or “Margaritaville,” Jimmy Buffett has you hooked with his island escapism lyrics. Known for his comedic personality, Mr. Buffett is always a crowd pleaser. Come on, when is Jimmy Buffett ever a bad idea?
